Would you keep in prayer the family of 13 year old Hadley Bilger? Please read the story below:

Suspect Arrested for Double Murder, Kidnapping in Monroe County

13-year-old Hadley Bilger is safe tonight after being held at gunpoint for several hours on Sunday by a man police say killed her parents. The suspect is Hadley's uncle, 42-year-old Robert Lee Hixon. Police say Hixon, formerly of Danville, drove to his brother-in-law's house in Pocono Lake Saturday night and shot and killed Butch Bilger and his wife, Ellen. Investigators say Hixon then kidnapped Hadley. Officials say Hadley's 5-year-old sister was also home when the attacks happend, but was able to get to a neighbor's house and alert police.

Investigator's say Ellen Bilger was pronounced dead at the scene, but Butch was able to identify Hixon for police before he died. State police issued an Amber Alert and a description of Hixon's truck. An alert Schuylkill County trooper spotted Hixon's red pick-up, which led to a 45 minute car chase. Officers were finally able to stop Hixon's vehicle with tire spikes. Hixon released the young girl to police, but continued to hold officials at bay for four hours by threatening to take his own life. Around 3:30 Sunday evening, Hixon was finally taken into custody. A press conference is scheduled for Monday. Police have not given any indication as to what Hixon's motives might be for the murders, but one relative says she has an idea. According to her, Hixon has a history of mental problems and was obsessed with the young girl. The family member also says that Hadley's parent's were working with local police to keep Hixon away from their daughter. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please keep in your prayers the family of Laci Peterson

Urgent Prayer Request!

Beth, age 21, went to Montclair to get an abortion. Outside the facility, a 'sidewalk counselor' gave her a brochure about Gateway. She came to our Irvington site and (as expected) tested positive. She still intended to abort. After watching The Harder Truth, she changed her mind, stating that she was 'shocked by the savagery of abortion'.

Her boyfriend is aware of the pregnancy but does not want to get married- in part because she is a born again believer and he is not. She attends a gospel preaching church in Newark and is president of the youth group. She teaches Sunday School to 10 year olds. Her mom became pregnant at age 15. (She also has a 20 year old sister)

She knows that her parents will be extremely upset at the pregnancy. She also knows that she will be suspended (shunned) by her church; furthermore, she believes her extended family and church members would be making uncomplimentary remarks about her. She is a senior at Kean University, and is concerned about finishing school.

Her counselor at Gateway, Dianne, writes "The literature she received outside the abortion clinic as well as the tape that she viewed tonight have succeeded in changing her mind about the abortion and she is going to carry to term. We talked about following God's will in all situations, not just when it felt comfortable to us. She feels guilty about not practicing a lifestyle that she talked about. She is very afraid to confront her mother and I (Dianne) offered to be there with her. She promises to call after Easter."

(Sat. 4-19-03 am) Beth called Dianne at home to tell her that her parents threw her out of their home. Dianne and her husband have volunteered to house her over the weekend.

Please pray that we arrange shelter for Beth and that she continues to look to the Lord to bring her through the circumstances created by her sin.
This is the true meaning of Easter!

The National Day of Prayer is only TWO WEEKS away.. check this out
Prayer request from Anne, the lady that led me (Dean) to Christ in 1972:
Dear Friends and Family,

Last night, after a pleasant time at the home of Phyllis and Derrick Fuller, I went over to visit the Davis family. I was in shock to see the suffering Willie Davis (former pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Ossining and current Director of Hilkiah Family Ministries) is experiencing. In a procedure to take blood from his right arm at the hospital, the needle punctured both sides of his vein, and then caused damage to a surrounding muscle and nerve. Willie currently has no use of his right hand, which is quite swollen, shakes uncontrollably and, at times, causes him excruciating pain. Because of the pain he has been unable to get adequate sleep. He continues to trust in the Lord. As I prayed with the family last night, Willie's words were, "Whatever is Your will, Lord."

Please pray for release from the pain, that he might get much needed rest and sleep. Pray for healing and strength for him in the battle with myeloma and kidney problems as well as his hand. Please pray for wisdom and skill for the medical people who deal with him as they decide how to treat the problem (acupuncture is being considered). Please pray for his wife, Brenda, who carries a very heavy load, balancing family (which includes an aging mother), her job, loss of income, the need to find another place to live, and the anguish she must feel as she sees her beloved in such needless pain. This dear family has suffered so much.

If you would like to express your love and concern to him and the family, their address is:

Pastor Willie and Mrs. Brenda Davis
14 Cruger Station Road
Croton, NY 10521
(914) 736-0479
HilkiahFM@Juno.com

As I saw the damage one misplaced (or probing) needle can do, and the suffering he is experiencing because of one person's actions, the image and the magnitude of our Lord's suffering becomes very real. What Wondrous Love indeed!

Thanking you in advance for your prayers. Wishing you a blessed Passover and Resurrection Day.

Love in Him,
Anne

Please keep these needs in prayer

Would you all join with me and include the name of Shoshawna Johnson in
your prayers each day and pray for her protection, strength, peace, faith,
and swift rescue from the Iraqi prison camp. She is the young Black woman
(and only woman) who was captured as a POW by the Iraqis this weekend. She
is the first woman captured. Her parents were interviewed last night on
Dateline by Stone Philips and she was shown being interrogated by the Iraqi
this morning on the Today show. She looks simply terrified. We all know
that livestock in Iraqi have more value than women. It is well-known that
Saddam Hussein has rape jails where he imprisons women for his soldiers to
use when they want sex. Please implore your family and friends to add her
to their prayer lists.
> We are praying for all the POWs and troops but especially for this young
woman (who is African-American) who the Iraqi may consider more expendable
because she is a woman. We know that God is in control and in Lamentations
33 it says..."He hears our cries, even from a bottomless pit...and He
rescues us". And we all know that "The prayers of the righteous, availeth
much". God bless you all.

From: Jim and Peggy
Date: Saturday, April 05, 2003 11:46:41 PM
Subject: Pray for Peggy

Today (Sat 4/5) my wife Peggy went for a stress test because she has been having symptoms of cardiac distress. The cardiologist stopped the test because he was concerned about the blood flow back to the heart.

We won't have a clear diagnosis or treatment suggestion until her own cardiologist gets the results on Monday but please ask the Lord to touch her with His healing hand and restore all of the blood vessels to perfect working order.

We trust in the Lord but would like all of you to pray with us!

Jim and Peggy Connolly
