Would you keep these items in prayer?

1. Cathy Horling, our CPA, writes:
IT'S ME AGAIN...WITH ANOTHER PRAYER REQUEST FOR MY SISTER PATTI. SHE FOUND A LUMP NEAR HER RIGHT ARMPIT TOWARDS HER BACK. HER DOCTOR IS PRETTY SURE THAT IT IS JUST A FATTY CYST, BUT SHE IS GOING TO A SURGEON ON THURSDAY TO HAVE IT CHECKED FURTHER. SHE IS ALSO EXPERIENCING A LOT OF PAIN IN HER RIGHT ARM, WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT BE RELATED, AND THE LUMP HAS GROWN SINCE SHE FOUND IT LAST WEDNESDAY. PLEASE PRAY THAT IT IS NOTHING SERIOUS.THANK YOU SO MUCH AND GOD BLESS, CATHY -- she then adds three days later ... HI AGAIN, JUST AN UPDATE - MY SISTER SAW A SURGEON YESTERDAY AND HE THINKS THE LUMP IS
JUST A FATTY TUMOR ALSO. HE IS GOING TO REMOVE IT NEXT TUESDAY AND A BIOPSY WILL BE DONE. PATTI HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING A LOT OF PAIN IN HER ARM AND HER BACK NOW AS WELL; THE DOCTOR FEELS THAT THE TUMOR IS PRESSING ON SOME NERVES AND/OR MUSCLES. PLEASE PRAY THAT ALL GOES WELL WITH THE SURGERY AND THAT THE TUMOR IS BENIGN. WE KNOW THAT THE LORD IS IN CONTROL AND WILL COME THROUGH FOR HER.
THANK YOU AGAIN, AND GOD'S BLESSINGS TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS! CATHY

2. Angela Sagner writes:
Please pray for my step-daughter, she is living in Delaware with her Mom. She is 17, pregnant, single, a junior in school and wants an abortion. She says she is determined to get one on her own, with no help from family. She was already rebellious and foolish. She professes to be a Christian who accepted Christ at a young age. She has never grown in Christ. We live in Texas. We offered to help her, let her live with us, adopt the child. She only wants things on her own terms, she knows living with us would mean living by Christian standards she does not want. Her boyfriend has pretty much deserted her. I know she feels trapped. I don't know how to reach her when she only wants help on her own terms. I know God wants this to be a circumstance that turns her to Him. My husband and I are so burdened for her and the baby. We have asked our church, friends, and family to join us in prayer, will you also? The Lord is the only One who can work a happy ending, we are willing to be a tool for Him. Could you refer us to anyone in Dover, Delaware that could be of help? In Christ, Angela Sagner ( we are emailing her referrals in Delaware)

3. Rev.'s Michael and Maria Westbrook (Mike is Gateway's Board Chairman) have a special request for prayer during the week of June 9-13. Their ministry, Young Life, had a serious incident with some local youth. They have shut down for a week of intense prayer as they seeks the Lord's direction and peace.

4. Dean's dad, George, is having serious emotional problems due to the loss of Mrs. Gavaris and the recent loss of his roommate, Seymour. Please pray that the Lord would give wisdom to those caring for him and salvation to Dean's brother, Dennis.

Laci Peterson's Mom Continues Fight for Unborn Victims Bill

New York, NY -- Laci Peterson's shattered mom last week struggled to keep her composure at her first interview since the bodies of
her daughter and unborn grandson were found, nearly breaking down as she pushed for a federal law to make it a crime to kill or
injurean unborn child in the course of an attack against a pregnant woman.

"We feel that [Laci's unborn son] Conner was a person -- there wasn't one murder, there were two murders," Sharon Rocha said,
choking up in an interview with Court TV outside the White House.

The Congressional bill, officially known as the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, was recently dubbed "Laci and Conner's Law," in
honor of Peterson and her unborn son.

Laci was 8-1/2 months pregnant when she disappeared in Modesto, Calif., Christmas Eve. The badly decomposed bodies of both Laci and her unborn baby were discovered last month off California. Her husband, Scott Peterson, is accused of murdering them.

Friend and missing-children advocate Kim Petersen told Court TV that Laci's family is reeling from the defense's contention she
may have been killed by devil worshippers. "It's horrendous," she said.
