On a personal note...
from Dean and Lorena
Would you keep in prayer Jeremy Gavaris (our son) as he participates in two short term missions projects?
July 8 through 15, 2007 to (Arizona) Inscription (Rural- AZ) USA (Navajo)
August 7 through 14, 2007 (Nicaragua)
”This Native American mission trip to Inscription House, Arizona is located approximately one hour from Page, Arizona on the majestic Navajo Reservation. The Navajo culture is one of quiet dignity, strength and beauty. Their heritage is fascinating and full of rich history.
Your six days will be coordinated in cooperation with a local team of leaders. During your trip you will have many opportunities connect to with the people who live in the community of Inscription House. The primary focus of your mission trip will be to bring much needed help to the elderly, the infirmed and those with the greatest need. Your time in Inscription House is very encouraging to those you have come to work alongside. “Our mission trip will be a balanced mix of practical work and people contact”
You are sure to gain a love and respect for the Navajo people as they welcome you into their hearts and homes. Your compassion and love for those in need will be strengthened as you reach out with your life and God's love.”
