A former Gateway volunteer (c. 1999) Lauren Sweeney asks for prayer for her husband in the Air Force. Lauren volunteered with us when she was just 17 and did a great job.
Here's her request:
' My family is in the need of some prayer. My husband is in the Air Force and he's due to reenlist this January. If he does choose to reenlist he will be sent to Iraq for at least 8 months with the Army.
We have been through 2 deployments already but none that have involved the army or Iraq.
We have a 22 month old daughter and I'm scared for my husbands safety. We're hoping that he can find a job which will enable him to separate from the military rather then reenlist.
That's where the prayer comes in.
We want to do the right thing...whatever God sees fit for our little family.
If its to get out then we're hoping to have some job opportunities open up either for him (10 years accounting/finance experience) or for me (I have an education degree K-8).
