New Jersey Christian Ministries has again asked me to be an instructor at its 51st Annual Christian Ministries Convention on Oct 21-22 at Hawthorne Gospel Church in Hawthorne, NJ 07506. It's a valuable experience and worth attending. It's interdenominational with the purpose of helping all Christians perfect their own ministries, help them live the victorious Christian life, and help them mature into Christ’s image.
There are 60 workshops in almost all areas of Christian ministry and 2 panel discussions on Spiritual Warfare and Music/Worship. These are taught by 64 workshop leaders who are mostly clergy, have PhD degrees, or who lead their own ministry. The workshops are 1hr 15mins long so there's plenty of time to learn. There are even workshops designed especially for your teenage children - so bring them along.
There are 50+ exhibitors with the latest ministry resources, who come from all around the metro area to display their ministry.
There is a General Session with a gathering of Christians from different denominations, cultures, and geographic areas. We’ll be fulfilling Christ’s prayer of John 17:21 – …”that they would all be one…” – as we worship the Lord together with special worship music from the NJCM worship team. You’ll also hear spiritual life-giving messages from the outgoing NJCM president, Jim Biscardi, and the incoming NJCM president, Rev Bruce Pajot.
On Friday night (7:30 – 9:30) there is a FREE Youth rally with Rev Dave Hayman and the Cornerstone Church youth band from Wyckoff, NJ and some special guests including Nyack Christian College, NYC. Youth and their leaders come FREE.
If you register BEFORE Oct 11th, you’ll get the early bird rate: $37 for both days; $32 for Saturday Only; and $22 for Friday Only. You can register online with a VISA or MASTERCARD credit card at http://www.ministriesconvention.com/index.php?op=21 or with a check by calling 1-800-363-4410 to get a brochure and registration form.
For more information, call 1-800-363-4410 or to get all the details quickly, you can also print the Convention brochure with the registration form by clicking on this link: http://www.ministriesconvention.com/index.php?op=67

Prayer Requests
Cathy Horling, Gateway volunteer accountant
“Once again, I am asking for your prayers; this time they are for me. I
am having a breast biopsy done next Tuesday. Please pray that I get a
good report. Thank you so much, and God bless you, Cathy” UPDATE:
The biopsy went well but it will take a few days for the results; hopefully
I'll have them by Friday. I'm trusting the Lord for good news. Thank you
so much for praying for me! Cathy

The latest news! Test results came back negative! Praise the Lord!
Also a praise! "I am delighted to tell you that "Uncle Rudy" has a new kidney! The
surgery went well and only lasted about two hours - thank you Jesus! Please continue to pray that he does not suffer any complications and that his body accepts the new kidney, and that his circulation is not adversely affected. He does have some plaque in his arteries and it is a concern. Kindly pray for strength and peace for his wife, Carol, too. Thank you so much for your prayers - they are being answered! Praise God! God bless you all, Cathy
