The Celebration of Eternal Life for Lorena Gavaris

Thank you all for your prayers and kind words at this time.

I love one of John Pipers quote. Just substitute 'Lorena' for the word 'he' and you how encouraging his words are to me: He had become so embedded in your life that for him to be absent is, yes, for part of  you yourself to be absent. That’s true. Things will never be just the same again. And it would dishonor him to think that they should be. But consider this: not all that you became by union with him is lost. You know it’s not. You became a wiser, deeper, better person because of life with him. He did not take all of that with him when he left. You know he didn’t. You know who you are. And what you became through him is not less, but more than you were before he entered your life. God has not made you less, but more. Things will never be the same. That’s true. But God’s call on your life now is to be the person you became through love with your husband, for the glory of God.

Life to the Full: True Stories That Reveal the Dignity of Every Human Life

Paperback – May 5, 2023 by Abby Johnson (Editor), Tyler Rowely (Editor) -$16.95 - Publisher  Ignatius Press  Publish Date  May 05, 2023  Pages  178  Paperback  EAN/UPC  9781621644545

Description

Abortion is a scourge on our world, perpetuated by a skewed understanding of love and freedom. The result has been over 62 million lives lost in the United States alone since 1973.

Each of these lives is an untold story.

It is time for them to speak. In Life to the Full, Abby Johnson and Tyler Rowley have collected twenty-three harrowing personal accounts that demonstrate the evil of abortion and, more crucially, the power of life.

In the midst of the fight against the culture of death, it is love, mercy, and miracles that serve as our oxygen, keeping so many determined to bring abortion to an end. The best method of winning hearts is the telling of stories--true stories.

Life to the Full shares lived human experiences in order to breathe new life into the abortion fight and raise up a next generation of men and women committed to protecting the unborn.

"This is the book I want supporters of legal abortion to read," writes editor Abby Johnson. "Page after page will reveal the certainty that it is never okay to kill an innocent human being, and that in order for our nation to know peace, there must be peace in the womb." This book will inspire those already committed to the cause of life, and make abortion advocates second-guess their convictions.

Reviews

"This powerful book shows that the root cause of abortion is not politics but pain. Abby and Tyler defeat the lie that abortion sets women free and instead show beautifully how embracing life instead of an abortion leads to real freedom."
-- Shawn Carney, CEO and President, 40 Days for Life

"Words cannot express how much I love this amazingly comforting book! Wherever you are in your life, these breathtakingly beautiful stories will bring joy to your heart, give peace to your mind, and heal your soul."
-- Sue Ellen Browder, Author, Subverted: How I Helped the Sexual Revolution Hijack the Women's Movement

"Life to the Full presents evidence-based data on what abortion has done to individual lives and to our common humanity. It shows through stories of real people that choosing life always leads to true freedom and deeper happiness."
-- John Bruchalski, M.D., Author, Two Patients: My Conversion from Abortion to Life-Affirming Medicine

"Life to the Full brings abortion to the level of the personal, and it gives us a painful but important peek into the hurt it really causes women and babies. If you are on the fence about abortion, read this book."
-- Meg Meeker, M.D., Author, Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters

"This book reminds us that, with the conception of every child, God says, 'Let his story begin.' The tragedy of cutting that story short by abortion devastates the future of all humanity. Let us instead treasure every boy or girl conceived."
-- Most Reverend Joseph Strickland, Bishop of Tyler, Texas

"The number-one tool we have to protect human life and end the tragedy of abortion is the power of our own true stories. This collection is powerful because it communicates an eternal truth written on all of our hearts: life is beautiful and must be cherished and protected."
-- Lila Rose, Founder and President, Live Action

"Not just a book, but a rousing call to action. Life to the Full is a must-read for anyone who wants to make a life-saving difference and positively impact our world."
-- David Bereit, Co-founder, 40 Days for Life

"Christ told stories. Pregnancy centers and sidewalk counselors, too, share stories of how hope replaced despair. That is why you should not miss this book. Read it. Share it. Be part of the irreplaceable role of stories in advancing the culture of life!"
-- Frank A. Pavone, National Director, Priests for Life; President, National Pro-life Religious Council
