From Dean friends at LEARN:
CBR friends,

We finally received some more updates on Pastor Johnny Hunter. Thank you for your prayers on his behalf. He is home recuperating from his coronary artery bypass surgery, as you'll read below. God is gracious.

Subject: Recent Updates on Rev. Johnny Hunter

Sorry to all that I have not forwarded these lately. After his six-bypass heart surgery, Rev. Hunter is home and God continues to work a miracle of healing! I called Sis. Pat Hunter a few days ago and Rev. Johnny actually got on the phone, too! Praise Jesus for His mercy!
By the way, Bill & Pirkle O'Clock, from Massachusetts, are the ones who've been sending out these updates. They are in St. Louis today (Mon 10/13/2003) for the LEARN Say So! Rally. I hope you can make it to the march or rally or both, even though I realize some of you are out of town and cannot. How we miss the LEARN founder, Rev. Johnny Hunter, as he recuperates, but we know his prayers are with us.

P.S.: Rev. Rob Schenk sent out a letter asking anyone who can contribute financially to the Hunter's to prayerful please consider doing so at this time. Thanks and God bless!

Dear Faithful Ones,
The news is good about Pastor Johnny's blood pressure - new medication
seems to be bringing it under control - praise God! He was able to walk
outdoors for a few minutes today for the first time. Please keep his
wife Pat in prayer, as the problem in her feet has worsened, and she has
put off seeing the doctor till her husband is stronger. It appears to be
a nerve problem and the pain is worse at night than daytime, especially
in the soles of her feet.

Thanks so much for persevering in seeking the Lord on behalf of the
Hunters.
In His grace,
Bill & Pirkko

Dear Faithful Friends,
Praise the Lord, the swelling in Dr. Hunter's leg has gone down a lot!
He is still needing prayer for the very high blood pressure. He is
feeling pretty well, walking better on his own, though his appetite is
not very good yet. We've been advised to pray specifically also for the
vein grafts to stay open.

Another praise Pat Hunter mentioned is that their church is going to
supply them a good computer. Theirs have hardly been functioning for a
while now.

By the way, Pastor Johnny's birthday is Oct. 25, so if you'd like to send
him a greeting, here's the address:
PO Box 273, Fayetteville, NC 28302.

Thanks so much for your continued prayers and concern,
May the Lord richly bless you,
Bill & Pirkko

Dear Ones,
Pastor Johnny Hunter is truly blessed by everyone's concern and time spent praying on his behalf. He was able to leave the hospital on Monday, 9/29, and is comfortably resting at home, praise the Lord! On the weekend it was discovered that he had fluid in his left lung, and after almost one liter was drained from it, he said he felt like a new man. His wife Pat was thrilled that a couple of their friends paid for their house to be cleaned before her husband returned home. It was such a blessing, and the Lord is so good!

Thanks to all for your continuing faithful prayers for full return of health and strength.

In the grace of Jesus,
Bill & Pirkko

Dear Praying Friends,
Thanks to our faithful God answering all our prayers, Dr. Johnny Hunter
continues to recover well. He's walking, talking, has a good appetite,
is off the blood pressure medication, and feels better each day. He may
be able to go home tomorrow (Sun. 9/28)! He says God answers prayer and
give Him praise! The Hunters so appreciate your continued prayers as
Pastor Johnny continues on the road to full health in the strength of the
Lord.

in His grace,
Bill & Pirkko
